Media Center

Hours: The library is open Monday –Thursday, 7:30 a.m.—3:30 p.m.  The library is open at 7:30 on Fridays, but closes early (3:00 p.m.) on Fridays and early dismissal days.

Library Pass: During school hours, students must present a pass from a teacher upon entering the library indicating a specific purpose for the visit.  Students will be asked to return to classes and obtain passes from their teachers if they arrive without them. 

Assistance: The library staff is available to help students who need assistance.  Please ask if you have any questions. 

Overdue Books: Books are checked out for two weeks and may be renewed for an additional two weeks if the book has not been requested by another student.  There is a $.10 per day, excluding weekends and holidays, for each day a book is not returned.  Students cannot take semester exams until all fines are cleared with the library.

Lost Items: It is the student’s responsibility to keep up with their library materials.  In addition to the cost of the item, students will be charged a $5.00 surcharge for lost library material.  Please notify library staff immediately when materials are missing; otherwise library fines will accrue at $.10 per day. 

Printing and Copying: There is a printer and a photocopier available.  Students may send prints to the printer through the librarian. Prints are $.10 a page. Students may request copies for a charge of $.10 per page for black and white and $.25 per page for color.

Supplies:  Please respect the library staff’s workspace.  Supplies such as pens, pencils, staplers, etc. are available upon request.

AV Equipment: Students cannot check out equipment, videos, or audio-books.  

Food Policy: No food, drinks, or gum are allowed in the library. 

Library Space: All library materials and chairs should be returned to their proper places before leaving the library.
