Bio
Susie Odom is originally from Metairie, Louisiana and has lived in the greater Jackson area for 17 years. She moved here with her husband Ben, two daughters, Emilie Ursin (St. Joe Class of 2016), Catherine Smith (St. Joe Class of 2016), and son Connor. She began her teaching career in 1989. While still in Louisiana, Susie taught middle school English as well as American Literature, British Literature, and AP Literature at Archbishop Rummel High School. During her tenure at St. Joe, she has taught English in grades 9-12 as well as AP Language and Theology. She attended LSU and graduated from the University of New Orleans with a BA in English.
Susie and her family are members of St. Richard Catholic Church in Jackson. In her free time, Susie enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling with her husband Ben, and playing with her 3 grandchildren, Stella, Hudson, and Mallorie.
