Bio

Coach Howell earned a Bachelor of Secondary Education from Mississippi State University with an emphasis in History and minor in kinesiology. He has taught history, physical education, and health. Coach Howell has taught students from 6th to 12th grade. He has also coached basketball, football, and track. Coach Howell is currently in his 7th season as the Varsity Head Boys’ Basketball Coach at St. Joe. He has helped guide the Bruins to 5 District Titles and has been named district coach of the year 5 times in his career. He has also served as the school’s athletic director for the past 5 years.

Coach Howell and his wife Alison have been married for 13 years and have three children: Olivia, Harper, and MJ. Oliva and Harper attend St. Anthony Catholic School. They are members of St. Paul Catholic Church in Flowood.
