Bio
Mrs. Runnels has been in education for 28 years and has served in many roles. Her experience includes teaching numerous courses and grade levels from pre-school through high school and administration. Twenty-five of those years has been in dedication to the ministry of Catholic education.
She holds an undergraduate degree in early childhood development from Northeastern State University, Oklahoma, a master’s degree in education administration from the University of Southern Mississippi, Gulf Coast and an art endorsement.
Mrs. Runnels and her husband Joseph have been married for 35 years and have three sons: Ian, Austin, and Marshall. All three attended Catholic school, the two oldest graduating from St. Stanislaus, in Bay St. Louis and the youngest graduating from Saint Joseph, in Madison.
Mrs. Runnels and her family are originally from Pass Christian located on the beautiful Gulf Coast but have called Madison and St. Joseph Catholic School home for the last 8 years. They are members of St. Joseph, Gluckstadt parish where she serves on the altar society.
She and her family enjoy time together cooking, board games, old movies, and travel. In her quiet time, she enjoys creating arts/crafts, reading, and visiting with friends.
